The only time I ran Boston ended up being super hot and I was way undertrained. 3:41 finish (50 min slower than previous marathon) with a 1 hr positive split. No fun. Good job toughing it out. It's surprising how tough marathons are when you run hard.

Keep the check and spend it on something fun!

I'd love to run PL, esp. since I heard great things about the scenery. But, it's only 4 weeks after Umstead, so I likely won't be recovered. And, I am supposed to be in Indiana that week for a business trip. I'd like to, though.Jon Allenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10550264057212165804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5332822485877032007.post-42281562138640888422012-03-18T15:54:37.366-04:002012-03-18T15:54:37.366-04:00Jon, Ugh... it a word: terrible. Once the bomb went off I tried to keep running, then shuffled, then walked some, then shuffled the last miles to the finish. Leg cramps and all. The heat must have played a role in that I think. 3:05 finish. 23+ min longer in 2nd half vs. the 1st. Ouch!

They had mistakenly registered me as a 1/2 runner and changed it right before the race. That must be why I am not listed.

You totally deserve royalties for the photo at the top, btw. Checks in the mail. : )

FYI: Word on the street is Promise Lane 50k is shapping up to be a mini little east coast Chuckanut this year. Coming up for it?Neal Gormanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09817697044864768312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5332822485877032007.post-3994547215370460922012-03-18T11:29:14.976-04:002012-03-18T11:29:14.976-04:00So how did it go? Hope everything ended up ok.

By the way, I like the picture at the top and your backdrop.Jon Allenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10550264057212165804noreply@blogger.com
